Donald David McComb, 69, of Valley Falls passed away Saturday, May 29th after a two year battle with cancer. Don is survived by his wife Carmen (Caro) of 45 years, his son Jason and his wife Tracy, and his daughter Lauren and her husband George Javitz. Don was grandfather to Zachary, Samantha and Connor McComb, and Benjamin and Alexander Javitz. He was also survived by his sister Helen and brother-in-law Stanley Scott, along with their three children. Don will be remembered fondly by the many students he taught for over 33 years at Hoosic Valley Elementary School. Don enjoyed teaching and playing many sports with his children and grandchildren, along with hunting with his son. His favorite sport was golfing. He could often be found sharing a round with is friends. A special thank you to Dr. OBryan and Dr. Resta for their care and concern for Don. A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Valley Falls on Sunday June 6th. Calling hours will be at the church from 2 5pm followed by a service.
