Valley Falls, Rensselaer County Donald W. Babbitt passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Troy Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was 87. Donald was born in a small hospital in South Bend, Indiana, but grew up in Mount Vernon, NY. He graduated from UCONN in 1954 and spent 3 and a half years in the Army. He was in Production Control and Instrumentation Sales in analog and electronics. He is survived by his wife, Martha and his two sons, Kenneth (Carleen) and William (Tammy), his two daughters, Katharine (Bob) and Mary Ellen (Mike). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be conducted at 10am on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Hoosic Valley Community Church. Kindly consider memorial donations to the Arthritis Foundation, c/o Dr. C.
