Stillwater Saratoga County Diane (Martinez) Zazzaro, 51, of Colonial Road passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at home with her loving family and friends at her side. There are truly not sufficient words to capture the fullness of Dianes life and spirit. Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey on September 6, 1971, daughter of Pedro and Edith M. (Cruz) Martinez. She was a Jersey Girl through and through and garnered the nickname "Jersey Dee". Upon moving to Stillwater, New York she made her mark and became a woman the community could rely on. Diane worked on the Corporate Claim Review Team for State Farm Insurance of Bloomington, Ill, a job and team she absolutely loved. Outside of her profession, her ongoing lifes purpose was to be a source of love, friendship, and support for all those in her life. She was an inspiration and treasured member of her community. Diane found the purest pleasure in volunteering within her the church, school and sports communities that were such an integral part of her childrens lives. She served many years on the Stillwater PTA and devoted her time to various booster clubs. She found joy in giving back to her community by being the loudest fan at games, working in Stillwaters snack shack, and supporting anyone in need. She was a proud member of the Pineapple Sistas. Her legacy is her faith and heart, and they are a testament to all those around her. Diane led by example through her positive attitude, contagious smile, and her love for people. Survivors include her children; Lauren, Anthony, and Jonathan, her husband of 22 years; Mark of Stillwater, and her parents; Pedro and Edith Martinez of Perth Amboy, New Jersey. The family would like to thank the Clifton Park staff at New York Oncology Hematology; the staff at Community Hospice, Judy and Home the Health Aides, Kelly and Kortni. In addition, the family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the family, friends and members of the wonderful Stillwater Community for their constant love and support through this difficult time. A Celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 3pm at Hoosic Valley Community Church, Schaghticoke, NY. Calling hours will be from 12pm 3pm at the church. Per Diane's wishes, please wear spring party attire (no black, no suits). Her favorite colors are yellow, royal blue (for colon cancer awareness) and orange. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Colon Cancer Research through the American Cancer Society.
