Obituary

Mechanicville, Saratoga County Dawn M. Baker of Maple Street, formerly of Stillwater, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 12, 2021. She was 70. Born in Troy on January 10, 1951, daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Sadowski) Baker. A graduate of Stillwater Central High School, Dawn went on to study at Hudson Valley Community College where she earned her Associates Degree. She retired from New York State Office of Mental Rehabilitation and Developmental Disabilities as Assistant Director. Dawn was active in the Stillwater Republican Committee and the Riverside American Legion Post 1644. She was a devout New York Yankees fan and loved to watch movies, especially comedies and her favorite shows were "The Young and Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful". She will be dearly missed. Survivors include her siblings, William "Biff" Baker and wife Mary Ellen, Arthur "Artie" Baker and wife Cathy, Kathleen Starks and Gary Carpenter, Ronald "Ron" Baker and wife LaRaina, Colleen Seymour and Mike Kinisky, Starlene Manny and husband Gregory, her nieces and nephews, Jenny Bottisti and husband Joseph, Michael Baker, Kayla Castrello and husband Gabe, Kylie Wood and husband Kyle, Tessa Baker and Justin Lennox, Brittani Manny, Bailyn Manny, great niece Alaina Bottisti and great nephew Anthony Bottisti and her best friend Ellie Conway. In addition to her parents, Dawn is predeceased by her nephew and Godson, Jeremy Seymour. A private funeral Mass will be celebrated at All Saints on the Hudson Church, Stillwater with burial to follow in the family plot in St. Peters Cemetery, Stillwater.
