Rexford, Saratoga County David J. Valcik passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at his residence with his loving family at his side. He was 60. He is the son of John Valcik, Sr. and the late Virginia (Reggie) Valcik. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Coons) Valcik of 35 years, and his daughter, Victoria Valcik both of Clifton Park. Also survived by his brothers, John Valcik, Jr. (Sandy) of Stillwater, Joseph Valcik of Las Vegas, Stephen Valcik of Waterford, Christopher (Mary) Valcik of Alplaus as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Michael Valcik. He was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School, class of 1975. Dave worked in the excavation field for many years for Shippee Excavation as a heavy equipment operator before becoming a self-employed contractor. Dave built custom homes with his brothers and did remodeling and property maintenance. He was a master woodworker/craftsman who enjoyed building furniture and wood crafts. Dave was a hard working man all his life and spent most of his time helping others. He enjoyed going to polka dances and listening to Polish music and spending time with his family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday at 10:00am in the funeral home with burial in Hudson View Cemetery.
