David Arthur Hagadorn, Sr. of Hagadorn Lane passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at his residence with his loving family at his side. He was 73.
Born in Saratoga on June 9, 1942, a son of the late Clarence and Edith (White) Hagadorn. He is the husband of Joan Elizabeth Whitney.
David most recently worked in the maintenance department at the Stratton Air Force Base in Scotia. In January he received recognition for 40 years of service to the Arvin Hart Fire Department. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2586, Saratoga Springs and enjoyed playing poker and Gottcha. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time with his grandchildren boating on Saratoga Lake.
In addition to his beloved wife of 50 years, Joan Hagadorn, he is survived by his son, David Hagadorn, Jr. (Michelle Medert) and daughter Julie (Patrick) Miller both of Stillwater, his adoring grandchildren, Amber Hagadorn, Kilian Mahar, Bruce Zeller III (Dominique Duncan), Mark Gardner, Emma Gardner, Emily Miller and Jonathan Miller as well as a great grandson Luke Duncan and siblings Bessie (Joseph) Belanger, Helen Marshall, Jeanette Marshall, Robert (Beverly) Hagadorn, Keefe (Mary) Hagadorn, Nancy (George) Ody and Rick (Anna) Hagadorn. Also several nieces and nephews.
He is also predeceased by his siblings Charles Hagadorn, Sr., Elizabeth Gowell and Doris Schultz.
At the request of his family funeral services will be private and at their convenience. Burial will be at 12 noon on Monday, July 20, 2015 in the Gansevoort Cemetery for those who would like to attend.
