Alpy, David Joseph Valley Falls, Rensselaer County David Joseph Alpy of Schaghticoke Road passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at his residence. He was 59. Born on February 15, 1958 in Troy, son of the late Robert and Pearl (Helion) Alpy. He is the husband of Stacey Ann (Montgomery) Alpy whom he married on June 12, 2015. Recently, David worked for ServPro of Albany as a production manager. He was an avid Yankees and Giants fan and loved history watching the military channel. He enjoyed playing Midway with his friend the late Mike Bullock. An athlete his whole life, he was very active and competitive. He always had the last word and his family and friends are going to miss his hugs when he would greet them. Survivors in addition to his wife Stacey include his children, James Alpy (Nicole Calanche) of VA, Christopher Alpy of Albany, Lindsay Alpy of Cohoes, Bayly, Kelsey and Shayla Colarusso all of Schaghticoke, his grandchildren, Gunner, Hunter, Cameron and Weston Alpy as well as his siblings Theresa (Robert) St. John of Rotterdam, Patricia Coker of FL, Mary Fantauzzo of Colonie, Robert (Kimberly) Alpy of Cambridge, Janet (Peter) Zepf of Burnt Hills and Michael Alpy (Scott DiFabio) of Latham and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 6:00pm at the Hoosic Valley Community Church, 2024 Route 40, Schaghticoke.
