Mechanicville, Saratoga County Daniel A. Chevalier of Camber Court passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was 55. Born in Schenectady on July 17, 1960, son of the late Donald and Doris (Geercken) Chevalier. He is the husband of the former Michele Viger. A proud veteran of the US Air Force, Dan worked in Air Traffic Control, most recently at the Schenectady Co. Airport. He also worked as a business manager for various auto dealerships. Survivors in addition to his wife of 15 years, Michele Chevalier include his children, Alison (John) Anderson of Clinton, MA, Nicole (Charles) Kovalsky of Stillwater, Rochelle Chevalier (Stro Parham) of Brandon, England and Benjamin Varieur of Schenectady, beloved grandchildren Justyn, Taylor, Owen, Kenzie, Lana, Alexander and Nykolas. His brother Paul (Cyndy) Chevalier of Rotterdam Junction and his nieces and nephews Paul, Andrew, Stephanie, Bridget and Nicole. Also survived by Shirley Mullarkey whom he thought of as a mother figure. He is predeceased by his sister Shirley Jergel. Relatives and friends may call from 4-7:00pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 9:30am in the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
