Johnsonville, Rensselaer County Charles Warren Walters of Ravenwood Way, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at his residence. He was 72. Born in Rockville Center, Long Island on October 9, 1943, son of the late Frank and Beatrice (Cook) Walters. He is the husband of Charlotte (Wendel) Walters. Charles worked for the Massena Paper Company in Massena. He was a member of the Centereach Fire Company on Long Island and the VFW of Albany. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors in addition to his wife, Charlotte, include children Cynthia (Adam) Kocienski of Schaghticoke and Frank (Lindsey) Walters of Johnsonville. Also survived by a sister, Lois Smith of PA, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his siblings, John Walters, Walter Chink Walters and Margaret Walters. Relatives and friends may call from noon to 1:30pm on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke.
