Charles Henry Rifenburgh, Jr.

Charles Henry Rifenburgh, Jr., formerly of Schaghticoke, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Utica after being stricken. He was 59.
Born in Troy on August 9, 1960, son of the late Charles Henry and Mary (Lesson) Rifenburgh, Sr. He is the father of Gabrielle C. Rifenburgh of Johnsonville.
During his life, Chuck had lived in Syracuse, Colorado, Florida and California, but this area was always home. Chuck worked his whole adult life as a cook and worked locally for Hendersons Bar and Grill, Christies Restaurant and Schag-a-Val. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love of practical jokes. His greatest joy was his daughter Gabrielle and his beloved grandchildren.
Survivors in addition to his daughter Gabrielle and her fianc Paul Hudson include his grandchildren, Spencer Rifenburgh, Killeon Hudson Rifenburgh, Scott Hudson Rifenburgh and Neveah Sue Hudson, his siblings, Joelle (Ian "Chip") Roehrl of Raleigh, NC, Marian Gilchrist of Bozeman, MT, Cindy Murphy (John Hoey) of South Glens Falls, Paul Stockwicz of Troy, Frank Stockwicz (Mo Mangan) of East Greenbush, Denise (Donald) Maurer of Troy and Darlene (Jim) Greenhouse-Tobin of Delmar.
Mr. Rifenburgh is predeceased by Gabrielles mother, Nancy Sanderson.
Services at this time will be private and at the convenience of his family. A celebration of life will be conducted when it is safe to gather again.
