CHARLES ROBERT HALLUM Beloved husband of Jane Tariello Hallum, brother of Dianne Rudolph (William Rudolph), Kathrynn Lilac (Paul "Butch" Lilac), and Rampant Hallum (Anne-Marie Hallum); father of Richard Taras (Christine Taras), and Jacinta Dunn (Bob Dunn); uncle of Carrie Sabourin (Brian Sabourin), Jeffrey Lilac, Bruce Lilac (Opal Beyer) , Natalie Hill (Chris Hill), Rebecca Safstrom (Stephen Safstrom) ; grandfather of Jacobe Taras, Colby Dunn and Jordan Dunn; and great uncle to numerous nieces and nephews passed away on August 11, 2020. Bob, as he was most commonly known, was born on August 13, 1944 to Doris Ruth and Thomas Eric Hallum. He graduated from Schuylerville High School, Class of 1963 and attended Hudson Valley Community College. He was a master mason of Montgomery Lodge No. 504 F & AM, Stillwater, NY. He worked for Bendix Corporation from November 1963-November 1967, rising through the ranks quickly to a top management position. He found his passion in 1973 when he opened Stillwater Wood & Iron and continued working there for 47 years. He loved his customers and would remember everyones name. Sharing his knowledge, in 1981, he taught a woodworking class for Shenendehowa night school. Bob loved to feed the birds, and never missed a day, no matter what the weather.
