Cecelia G. Sheffer, 103 of Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa, died peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2011.
Born in Stillwater, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Clara Levendusky Pohl. She is the wife of the late William A. Sheffer, who died in 1955.
Cecelia attended Stillwater Schools. She was employed by the former Stillwater Knitting Mills as a machine operator. She traveled extensively with her daughter to the British Isles, Germany and the United States.
She is survived by her daughters; Cecelia Jill (John) Walrath and Ellen (Henry) Palmieri both of Mechanicville, a grandson; John Walrath of Wrightsville, NC and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her brother; Andrew Pohl.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-6:00pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Dunn Funeral Homes, Inc. 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville, NY 12118.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 16 at the funeral home with the Rev. Henry Palmieri, officiating assisted by Rev. Dr. Camillus J. Mourice, Pastor of the Clifton Park United Methodist Church.
Interment will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Stillwater, in the spring.
