Caroline S. Edwards 1918 2016 Edwards, Caroline S. Valley Falls After a long and wonderful life Caroline S. Edwards passed away on October 17, 2016 in Diamond Hill and Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side. Born in Brunswick, NY she was the oldest daughter of Walter and Olive Film of Valley Falls. She is predeceased by her husband Robert, her brother Theodore, and sisters Mary and Martha Film. She leaves behind her dedicated son John Jake and daughter-in-law Michele of Cohoes, NY and her sister Francis Fellner, Windsor, NY, step granddaughter Dana (Robert) Hotaling, Ballston Lake. She also leaves behind several nieces and a nephew, great nieces and great nephew and one great-great niece. Caroline was employed by the United Postal Service for 40 years and retired from the Valley Falls Post Office as Postmaster in 1982. She was devoted to her family and her home, she leaves a lifetime of happy memories for her family to cherish. A memorial service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street Schaghticoke. Friends may visit with Carolines family from 11:00 -12:30 p.m at the funeral home.
