Stillwater, Saratoga County, New York Carol Ann Lavertue of Hudson Avenue passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Saratoga Center for Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ballston Spa. She was 77. Born on June 30, 1938 in Troy, daughter of the late Hector and Helen (Waldron) Lavertue. Carol owned and operated Carols Coiffeurs from her home in Stillwater. She loved cooking and the holidays, especially entertaining at Christmas. Carol loved dogs and always had a canine companion at her side. Survivors include her sister, Germaine Zielinski of North Dakota as well as several nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews, cousins and her close friends Helen, Chuck and Dawn. She is predeceased by her sister Patricia Steadman. Relatives and friends may call from 4-7:00pm on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon on Monday morning in the funeral home. Burial will be in the family plot in St. Peters Cemetery, Stillwater.
