Mechanicville, Saratoga County Carol Ann (Gaylord) Davenport passed away on January 12, 2023 at Samaritan Hospital. She was 85. Born in Schaghticoke on December 11, 1937, daughter of the late Charles Raymond and Cecelia (Grignon) Gaylord. She is the widow of the late George Davenport. Carol worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the former Millview Adult Home. In earlier years she volunteered on local ambulance corps and also enjoyed bowling and playing pool and had acquired numerous trophies. In later years she enjoyed time with family and friends and enjoying nature, taking care of her wildlife creatures. Survivors include her sons, Mark (Tina) Davenport of Schaghticoke, Mike (Andrea) Davenport of Johnsonville, James Davenport of Mechanicville, George Davenport, Jr. of Troy, Bruce Davenport of Schaghticoke and Dale (Patricia) Davenport of Waterford, her sister, Janet Osborn of Schaghticoke and her grandchildren Mark Jr., Todd and Jessie Davenport, Adrienne Peterson, Cody Davenport, James Davenport, Jr., Samantha and Dalton Davenport, and Jonathan Davenport (Elisa Hildreth) as well as great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son Tim Davenport, her granddaughter Cecelia Ann Davenport and her siblings Barbara Czuwala, Donna Daley and Kenneth Gaylord.
