It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Brackley of Tomhannock, New York, born in Troy, New York, who passed away on October 17, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with family.
Carol married her beloved husband Jack Brackley, October 18th, 1963. She spent 19 years as a homemaker that allowed her to spend time with her children while taking care of many others. Carol worked at Western Electric in Albany, Freihofers in North Troy, and eventually retired from RPI in Troy amongst a few other positions in between. Carol loved spending time with her siblings playing pitch on a Saturday night. She enjoyed sitting on her porch drinking coffee while talking to all of her neighbors. Carol spent a lot of time with her best friend, Linda Delurey, that made quite an impact on her life in her final years. She enjoyed flying to South Carolina to spend time with her boys along with traveling to the Thousand Islands to spend time with her great grandson and family. There is nothing Carol cherished more than family, you could see this through her vibrant smile every time she was with any of her children/grandchildren/great grandchildren. Carol was a selfless woman that will be deeply missed by the many lives she has touched. She is now with reunited with her husband, Jack, in peace.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Madigan and Phoebe Madigan (Galloway), her brother Glen (Joan) Madigan: and her husband Jack Brackley. She is survived by: her sisters, Donna Cook (Joe) and Joan Koch (Max); her sons, Chris Brackley and Mark Brackley (Jennifer Topetro); her grandchildren, Amanda Rosen (Samuel), Cassandra Brackley (Zack), Mark Brackley, John Brackley and Kyle Brackley; and her great grandchildren, Noah Rosen and Zachary Esposito; numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 23rd 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Transfiguration Parish (Formerly St. Johns church) (17 S Main St, Schaghticoke, NY 12154). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 23rd 2021 at the St. Johns Cemetery, Schaghticoke.
There will be a celebration of life following the service at the cemetery at 6 Riverside South, Mechanicville, NY 12118
