Obituary

Carl Raymond Woodbeck Sr., 63, of Schenectady New York passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on January 2, 2025. Born on December 7, 1961 in Saratoga New York, he was the beloved husband to Michelle, loving father to Nathan and Carl Jr. and "GP" to his granddaughter, Teagan.

Carl was the cable guy for 27 years, always willing to help his fellow coworkers. In 2006, Carl was named one of the top performing employees companywide. With that distinction came a wonderful resort vacation in Puerto Rico that quickly became a favorite memory. Carl worked hard enough to fulfill one of his dreams, retiring at the age of 55. It's something he recommends everyone should do.

Carl's humble beginnings taught him to accept and love everyone just the way they are, a lesson he tried to teach others. He loved his family and home life. "Puttering " was one of his favorite activities. His Starpoint Church life meant the world to him. Carl was always eager to find out when the next serving opportunity would be. He loved ushering. It was a time to give high fives and flash that amazing smile. And yes, have those attending service move to the middle. Fishing, camping, playing video games, collecting Hot Wheels and shopping garage sales were among his favorite hobbies.

Carl is survived by his wife of 32 years, Michelle; sons, Nathan and Carl Jr.; granddaughter, Teagan; siblings, Marion, Jackie, Clint, Phil, Roz and Tony, as well as Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. His extended family including friends and his church family will miss him greatly.

There truly are no words to properly describe just how kind and loving Carl was. His warmth and caring ways will be missed by so many. Carl's quick wit and charm were evident to the very end.

Carl's family would like to extend a special thank you to all who reached out with so much love and support during this difficult time.

Per Carl's wishes, there will be no services but a Celebration of Life will take place in the near future. All donations should be made to Carl's home away from home, Starpoint Church, 14 Jarose Place, Clifton Park NY
