Philpott, Brittany L. Johnsonville, Rensselaer County Brittany L. Philpott of Johnsonville Road passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was 24. Born on July 20, 1990 in Albany, she is the beloved daughter of Randy L. and Stacey Anne (Speanburg) Philpott. Brittany is a graduate of Hoosic Valley class of 2008. She went on to obtain her Associates Degree in business. She is a member of the Johnsonville Fire Company and the Ladies Auxillary. Brittany was recently employed as a cashier at Shop N Save in Schaghticoke. Known as the Cupcake Queen in Johnsonville, she operated her own business, "Sweet Sinsations". Survivors in addition to her parents Randy and Stacey include her paternal grandparents, Leon and Joan Philpott of Mechanicville, maternal grandparents George (Judy Brod) Speanburg and Patricia Speanburg of Johnsonville, her aunts and uncles, Amy Philpott of Waterford, Courtney and Todd Peterson of Johnsonville, Linda and Martin Garland of Mechanicville, Nicole and Richard Peterson of Johnsonville. She is also survived by the love of her life, Mitchell Ellsworth and his family of Valley Falls. Also survived by several cousins. Relatives and friends may call from 5-8pm on Tuesday, September 23 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke. Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 1:00pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery Schaghticoke.
