Benjamin Zahir Mufti of Washington D.C., formerly of New Hartford, passed away on October 19, 2011 as result of an accident. He was 35. He was born in Richmond, IN, on August 2, 1976. He was a graduate of New Hartford High School and George Washington University. He worked as a personal trainer. He is survived by his mother, Dr. Barbara Faulkner Mufti of Bradenton, FL, formerly of New Hartford, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Benjamin is predeceased by his father, Dr. Zahir H. Mufti. Relatives and friends may call from 10-11am on Thursday, October 27 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Ave., Mechanicville (518-664-3731). Prayer service will follow at 11:00 with burial in the family plot in Hudson View Cemetery.
