Barbara J. Sears, beloved wife of the late Edward F. Sears, II, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs, surrounded by loving family. She was 88.

Born on September 19, 1937, beloved daughter of the late Charles and Mary Matilda (Noonan) Biette, Sr. of Clifton Park. Sister of her late siblings, Charles Biette, Jr., Robert Biette, Sr., Catherine Chase, Leona Forman, Joan Reckner and William Biette PFC.

She is the mother of Edward Sears III (Laura) of Ballston Spa, Rene Ann Tooley of Malta, Jeanine (Scott) Gonyea of Texas, James (Lori) Sears of Ballston Lake and Shawn (William) Coreno of Ushers. Also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Barb worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Daughters of Sarah in Albany. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, St. Paul Court #71, Mechanicville. In earlier years she enjoyed working on puzzles, dining out and vacationing, especially to Alaska, Disney and cruising.

Visiting will be from 10-11am on Friday May 29, 2026 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Ave., Stillwater. Burial with committal prayers will follow in the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford.
