Barbara (Gaylord) Czuwala formerly of Johnsonville passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, October 22, 2011. She was 81. Born on July 22, 1930 in Troy, she is a daughter of the late Charles R. and Cecilia (Grignon) Gaylord. Barbara lived most of her life in Schaghticoke. She worked for the State Department of Taxation and Finance and also at the Troy Record. Throughout her life she took care of many foster children. Survivors include her sons, Wayne Goyer of Clifton Park, Kevin and wife Julia Goyer of Schaghticoke and Peter and wife Deborah Czuwala of Schaghticoke, her daughters, Lana L. and husband Gary Brundige of Johnsonville, Lesa and husband Joseph Valade of Schaghticoke and Barbara Herrey of Florida. Also survived by her brother, Kenneth and wife Betty Gaylord of Melrose and her sisters, Janet and husband Richard Osborn of Schaghticoke, Donna and husband Rajender Ghandi of Mechanicville and Carol Davenport of Mechanicville as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her son Christopher Czuwala. Funeral Mass will be at 10am on Wednesday at the Transfiguration Parish (Formerly Holy Trinity Church) South Main Street, Schaghticoke.
