Mechanicville, Saratoga County Arthur A. "Butch" St. Gelais of Park Avenue passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at his residence following a long illness. He was 76. Born in Cohoes, NY on July 14, 1942, son of the late Joseph J. and Mary Rose (Denault) St. Gelais. He is the husband of Eunice E. Haney St. Gelais. Butch was a hard working man and was employed by General Electric in Waterford working in construction. He worked for Ron Kerr who was extremely good to Butch and he continued that friendship and good will even after retirement. In addition to his wife Eunice of Mechanicville, he is survived by his children, Arthur A. (Desiray M.) St. Gelais of Rexford, Daniel J. (Heather) St. Gelais of Halfmoon and Carrie D. St. Gelais of Waterford, his step children, Jamie Haney of Schenectady and Kim Wood of Troy, his siblings Yvonne (Ray) Golais of Cohoes and Francis St. Gelais of Menands as well as 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and his niece Brittany. He is predeceased by his siblings. Services will be private and at the convenience of his family with burial in St. Marys Cemetery, Waterford.
