Obituary

Armand D. Izzo of Mechanicville passed away at his home on June 3rd after a long illness. He was 79. Born November 30th, 1934 to Armand and Mary Zennaiter Izzo, he was a lifelong resident of Mechanicville. Armand was the Owner and President of Izzos Chrysler Plymouth in Mechanicville for 30 years, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed traveling, playing chess, and most of all spending time with his family. Previously deceased by his parents, his brother Jack, and his great niece Caitlin Coleman, Armand is survived by his wife Anna Cacciola Izzo and their children -- son Jack (Donna) Izzo of Mechanicville, daughter Valerie Coreno of Mechanicville, daughter Donna Izzo of Ballston Spa, son David (Sarah) Izzo of Mechanicville, and son Michael Izzo of California. Armand is also survived by his 7 grandchildren - Jack & Brandon Izzo, Joshua Coreno, Eric Croucier, Nicholas Randall, and Allison & Anna Izzo -- and leaves behind his sister Betty (John) Fascia of Halfmoon, nieces Cheryl Coleman (Larry) Walley, Cindy Fascia (Katherine Crouch), and MaryBeth (John) DAloia, all of Albany, along with his great nieces & nephews -- Brian Coleman, Shalisha (Steve) Washburn, Zachary & Alexandra Manrique, and Aengus Washburn. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at All Saints on the Hudson Roman Catholic Church, 121 No. Main Street in Mechanicville with burial in St. Pauls Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue in Mechanicville, on Friday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga in loving memory of Armand D. Izzo. Online remembrances may be made at www.chasesmithfamily.com
