Obituary

Annetta Marie Kellogg of Kellogg Road in Stillwater, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 94. Born on October 23, 1916 in Stillwater, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Pearl (Palmateer) Cowin. Wife of the late Leonard Dyer Kellogg who passed away in 1998. Annetta was a graduate of the Stillwater Central Schools. She raised their four children caring for her family. She was a charter member of the Stillwater United Church, where she served as an elder, deacon, Sunday school teacher and youth group leader. Annetta was also a charter member of the Arvin Hart Auxiliary, a 4-H Leader, the Home Bureau and a she bowled with the Mechanicville-Stillwater Womens Bowling league. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Celeone of Ballston Lake, Janice (William) Ritter, Susan (Thomas) Lee, one son, Leonard C. (Edie) Kellogg all of Stillwater. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Leonard whom she married on September 11, 1938, Annetta is predeceased by her brothers Walter, Royal, Charles, and John Cowin, sisters Bernice Forino, Mary Pearl Smith, Ruth Corcoran and her daughter Ann Elizabeth. Calling hours will be held from 4-7:00pm on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Stillwater United Church. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday at the Stillwater United Church, Hudson Avenue in Stillwater with Rev. Michael Crandall officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in Stillwater Union Cemetery in the Spring. The family would like to invite everyone to the Fellowship Hall in the church immediately following the service for fellowship and refreshments. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Annettas honor may be made to the Stillwater United Church Building Fund, Hudson Avenue, Stillwater, 12170. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dunn Funeral Homes, Inc., 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater (664-3731).
