Alice M. Westcott of Center Street passed away on Monday, January 1, 2012 at St. Marys Hospital with her family at her side. She was 79. She was born on May 14, 1932 in Fowler, New York, daughter of the late Jack and Lula (Folmsbee) Russell. Alice is the wife of the late Bernard Westcott, Sr. Alice was a retired secretary for Grand Union, Waterford. Alice is survived by her children, Bernard Butch (Michele) Westcott, Jr. of Mechanicville, Brenda (Paul) Tompkins of Stillwater. Grandchildren include Andrew A. Westcott, Daniel W. Tompkins and Hayden P. Tompkins. Alice is also survived by her beloved Granddogs, Soda and Philly as well as by her nieces and nephew. Relatives and friends may call from 10-12noon on Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. A memorial service will be conducted at 12 noon with Rev. Michael Crandall officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery.
