Johnsonville Rensselaer County Alice M. Edwards passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation at Hoosick Falls. She was 93. Born in Valley Falls on April 25, 1921, daughter of the late Charles Herbert and Ellen (Aspinell) Edwards. Alice worked for state government for over 25 years at the State Insurance Fund, retiring in 1978. During her retirement she and her sister traveled to England and California to enjoy time with relatives. She loved gardening in the summer and skiing in the winter. She skied until she was 80 years old and was still digging up shrubs, planting flowers and doing lawn work into her 80s. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Troy. Survivors include her sister Dorothy Edwards and her niece Carol Edwards of Valley Falls. She is predeceased by her brothers, John Edwards and Charlie Edwards.
