Albert J. Goodwin, Jr. - Stillwater, Saratoga County Albert J. Goodwin, Jr., of Hudson Avenue passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Hoosick Falls Health Care Center with his family at his side. He was 82. Born in Cambridge on November 30, 1933, son of the late Albert J. and Maude E. (Gillespie) Goodwin. He is survived by his wife, the former Carol A. Connor. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Albert served from 1952-1958 attaining the rank of Lieutenant. He retired from Allied Signal in Green Island after 25 years. Albert was a member of the American Legion for more than half a century. His home post was Hoosick Falls Post 40. Later, he simultaneously served other posts at the county and state level always holding an officer position. In addition to his patriotism, he traced his genealogy to become a member of Sons of Revolution and Sons of the American Revolution. Survivors in addition to his wife, Carol include her children, Debora (Kenneth) Gallant of Clifton Park, Michael J. (Jennifer) Connor and the late David R. Connor, his children, Yvonne Goodwin of Hoosick Falls, Diane Goodwin of Englewood, NJ, Lorraine Goodwin of Manchester Center, VT and Michelle Goodwin of Lexington, KY. Also survived by 2 grandchildren, Jessica Goodwin of Brooklyn, NY and Dillon Williams of Manchester Center, VT. Also predeceased by his sister, Lorraine Muckle and his niece Wanda Merrow. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Saratoga National Cemetery with military honors at 1:00pm sharp.
